1.) What is energy?
Everything in existence, be it a chair, a kidney, an apartment building, an intention, a thought, a fear, a worry or joy, is energy: subatomic particles that vibrate at a specific rate. The slower the rate of vibration, the denser or more solid the object. The subatomic particles of a chair vibrate more slowly than those of an emotion or a belief.

All energies are neutral: none are good, none are bad. Energies of similar frequencies attract one another: joy begets more joy; fear begets more fear. Every energy has an intelligence and a heart. Every energy has its own unique vibration called its signature vibration. Attuning to an energy’s signature vibration enables us to connect with that energy’s intelligence and heart, hear its story.

2.) How does Energy Healing work?
Short answer: Energy Healing works with the flow of vital energy in the body to restore and support physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Long answer: Energy (prana, ki, chi, Life Force) underlies everything in existence. When the subtle energy in the body is flowing and in balance, we have inner and outer wellness. When the flow of our underlying energy systems is disrupted or out of balance, physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual disharmony results. Energy Healing works directly with the flow of this vital energy in the body to restore and support physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness.

3.) What are the Chakras? The Energy field?
Short answer: Your energy field is also called your aura. The chakras are spinning energy centers that lie within it.

Long answer: Your energy field or energy body is your aura. It consists of 7 interpenetrating layers that extend from deep inside your physical body to a few feet outside your body. Your energy body pre-existed your physical body and includes your chakras. There are 7 major chakras associated with the physical body. Chakras are spinning vortices of energy that are located at specific locations along the spinal column. They perform important energy services including filtering incoming energy and releasing unwanted energy. Your chakras reflect imbalances and blockages in the various layers of your energy body. Metaphysically, the chakras carry our Soul lessons for this lifetime. Energy Healing directly works with the energy body and the chakras to bring optimal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness.

4.) How does the flow of energy in my body affect me?
Short answer: The degree of balance, openness and flow within our energy body has a direct relationship to our sense of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Long answer: When the flow of energy throughout the body is open and balanced, we experience physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness. When the flow of energy is depleted or disrupted, we experience physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual symptoms that reflect the nature of that disturbance. For example, a blockage of the flow of energy in the pelvis (due, perhaps, to childhood shame about sexuality stemming from religious and/or family beliefs) could manifest as chronic low back problems, constipation, diarrhoea, colitis, haemorrhoids, hip problems, feeling wooden in the pelvis, weak abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, dysmenorrhoea, sexual issues, breathing primarily in the upper chest not in the belly, etc.

5.) What makes Pippa unique as an Energy Healer?
As an Energy Healer, Pippa is heart-centered and Soul-directed. She creates a safe and loving healing space for her clients. Her clairvoyant skills and her willingness to share her knowledge and insights combined with the high vibrational energies that she brings in create a deep healing opportunity.

In addition to balancing and opening the energy that underlies your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual symptoms, Pippa goes to the root cause of your energy blockages. Going to the root cause of your issues and symptoms brings deep and long term change.

6.) What is clairvoyance?
Short answer: Clairvoyance is inner seeing. It involves attuning to the signature vibration of an energy.

Long answer: Every energy in existence has its own unique vibration called a signature vibration. Clairvoyance involves attuning to this vibration and opening to receive connection to its heart and inherent intelligence. Clairvoyance is similar to tuning into the frequency of a specific radio station (ie the energy of the object, belief, thought, concept etc with which you want to connect) by carefully adjusting the radio dial (ie the clairvoyant’s inner focus and intention). Although few of us consciously use our clairvoyance, we are all clairvoyant. When you have a gut feeling or a hunch, you are using your clairvoyance.

7.) What does it mean to be heart-centered and Soul-directed?
When the healer is heart-centered, the healing is heart-centered. As a heart-centered healer, Pippa brings in high vibrational healing energies that are gentle, loving and compassionate as well as discerning and wise. These energies gently engage and open the client’s heart while creating a healing environment of safety and trust.

As a Soul-directed healer, Pippa consciously connects with the Soul or Higher Self of her client before the healing session. This initiates the opening of a vortex of energy which invites into the healing space the client’s Higher Self or Soul establishing it as the authority over the healing. Soul-directed healing ensures that what unfolds in a session will serve the client’s highest interests.

8.) For what sort of problems would I see Pippa as an Energy Healer?
Since energy underlies every physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspect of our lives, by working at the level of energy Pippa can offer support for any acute or chronic illness or disturbance that detracts from your sense of inner and outer well-being. The range of problems for which you might see Pippa include chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, asthma, MS, cancer, constipation, back problems, feeling wooden in the pelvis, headaches, addiction, eating disorders, generalized unhappiness, depression, stress, anger problems, anxiety, poor breathing patterns, negativity, malaise, a feeling of being stuck in life, feeling of unworthiness, meaninglessness, low-self esteem, excessive fearfulness, etc.

9.) Will Energy Healing cure me?
Short answer: Healing is not the same thing as curing.

Long answer: Energy Healing is not about performing miracles. We do not ‘do’ anything if we are ‘cured’. Rather, we are ‘done to’. There is little if any awareness or learning associated with ‘curing’. Healing is a journey of self-discovery, self-awareness and self-empowerment. It is a journey of re-discovering and reclaiming ourselves, piece by precious piece. It is about finding inner peace and, through inner peace, our own truth and freedom. When we go to the core to heal, profound physical, emotional, mental, emotional and spiritual changes occur. We are transformed. It may be that there is no cure for the burdens we bear, but there is always healing –being able to live and love from a deep, wise place with peace and grace and gratitude. This is the gift of healing.

10.) Why do I have to have conscious awareness of the issue? Why can’t Pippa just do the work for me?
When you have conscious awareness of your process, you are participating in your own healing, you are taking responsibility for your own health and well-being. This is self-empowering. This is true freedom. As you develop conscious awareness of your issues and processes, you are able to create emotional, mental, physical and spiritual changes in your life that are deeply rooted, widely held, long lasting and transformative.

11.) What is the root cause of an issue?
Short answer: The root cause of an issue is the core of that issue. Often the root cause is a childhood belief that, as children, we understand to be very important to our family/society/religion/etc. Our attachment to this belief roots the issue and its associated behavioural and thought patterns deep in our unconscious becoming our ‘default’ way of thinking, feeling, behaving, being in the world. Such issues and their root causes often have influence over our behaviour and thought patterns well into adulthood despite the fact that, as adults, those patterns no longer serve our highest interests.

Very, very long answer: The root cause of an issue is the belief or experience that is the core of that issue. Most of these beliefs are taken on in childhood and are the result of significant experiences (that do not need to be of a traumatic nature to have a lasting effect on us) and of the spoken and unspoken rules and beliefs of our family, society, religion, political systems etc.

As children, in taking on such beliefs, we adopt certain thought, behavioural and emotional patterns that enable us to live by that belief. The family belief, “Big boys don’t cry”, for example, requires a boy to learn to feel, think and behave in a certain way if he wants his parents’ approval and love. The thought, behavioural and emotional patterns that accompany our childhood beliefs rapidly become part of our unconscious, automatic way of being in the world. Those that are of a self-limiting and self-negating nature form the root cause of our issues in adulthood.

The following is an example of a belief taken on in childhood and the impact that that belief might have in childhood and later on in adulthood:

A little girl thinks:
“The world is a scary place. I do not feel safe in it. If I am left alone in the world, I will die. I need my parents to take care of me, protect me, give me clothing, food, shelter. No one else will do this for me except my parents. When my parents are happy, I feel their love and then I feel safe. I know they will take care of me. When my parents are angry, I feel their love go away and I think they may decide they don’t want take care of me. Then I feel scared. To feel safe in the world, I need my parents to love me. For them to love me, I must make sure they are happy. I must not make them angry or upset. To make sure my parents are happy, I must be good. I must not say ‘No’ and stamp my foot. I must be lady-like and polite. I must wear a happy face. I must be helpful and do what I am told. I must be pretty and do well at school and not make a fuss.”

From the child’s point of view, this set of beliefs concerns her very survival. These beliefs include: the world is an unsafe place; she is vulnerable and has no power in the world; to be safe and to survive in the world she needs someone else to take care of her; for others to want to take care of her they need to love her; when people are angry, their love goes away; her habitual way of being in the world makes her parents angry and therefore unloveable; to be worthy of love she must be good, pretty, successful, compliant, keep everyone happy and not attract negative attention.

At a young age, this little girl learns to deny her own needs, opinions and feelings in order to appease others and therefore be safe. She learns to be a pleaser and a perfectionist. She may develop a vicious inner critic to help keep her thoughts and actions in line. To feel worthy of her parents’ love, she may become an overachiever. Or her safety in the world may be dependent on not being seen, not standing out, not attracting attention in which case, she may become an underachiever. She may take on victim or martyr energy. There are many possibilities.

Over time, these thought and behavioural patterns became part of this girl’s unconscious, automatic way of being in the world and these patterns serve her: her parents love her. She stays safe. She survives.

By the time this young girl becomes an adult, she will have been suppressing her Self and her life-force energy for many, many years. Eventually, this suppression affects the flow of energy throughout her body -her heart, her throat, her pelvis, her arms, her legs, her spine- creating energy imbalances and blockages, vacancies and disconnections. In time, these chronic energy disruptions could manifest as any number of health problems including headaches, heart disease, lung problems, chronic fatigue, breast cancer, back problems, depression, generalized unhappiness, eating disorders, addiction, anger problems, fearfulness, hopelessness, self-doubt, resentment, unworthiness, poor self-esteem, etc.

As an adult, only by going to the root cause of these physical, emotional, mental and spiritual issues will this woman be able to heal, to find her own voice, power, essence and truth. Only by going to the root cause will she be able to find true freedom and release the beliefs and patterns that have been running her life since childhood.

12.) What does going to the root cause of an issue do?
Short answer: Going to the root cause of an issue facilitates the opening of that issue’s energy template which then allows us to release the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical aspects of the issue.

Long answer: We hold our thoughts and beliefs in our energy field. When we go to the root cause of an issue, we take our conscious awareness to the core belief of that issue. Working with conscious awareness through our hearts literally loosens and opens the energetic template of the core belief in the energy field. This, in turn, allows the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of the issue to loosen and open.

When we go to the root cause of an issue with love, compassion and conscious awareness, we begin to understand the ways in which a particular belief and its accompanying thought and behaviour patterns served us as children. We begin to understand the power of these patterns, why and how these patterns continue to influence and inform us as adults even though they no longer to serve us. When we go to the root of our issues and consciously re-connect with our child-self, we are able, with love, compassion and gratitude, to rework and release the patterns and scripts that have been running our lives since childhood.

13. ) Will my problems just go away when I go to the root cause of the issue?
Unless you have been working on your personal issues, it is unlikely that your issues will just go away. Most of us have had our programmes and patterns since childhood. They are deeply rooted in our unconscious as part of our automatic default settings. They have been running our lives for years. Reworking and releasing them takes awareness, commitment, practice, patience, compassion and time.

14.) How does Pippa work with the root cause of an issue?
When working with the root cause of an issue, Pippa uses healing techniques that help the client develop conscious awareness of both the issue and its causes. The main technique Pippa uses when addressing the root cause is Inner Child work but she also uses Energetic Dialogue, Goodness Process and Conference Table. For these techniques, Pippa and her client usually sit and face each other in chairs although sometimes with these techniques she will do ‘hands on’ healing work with her client lying fully clothed on the massage table.

15.) What is Inner Child work?
Inner Child work is a healing technique that focuses on reclaiming the disowned parts of ourselves (the Child) that are holding our wounds. It is a gentle, loving and powerful technique. Inner Child work takes us to the root cause of our issues. It helps to free us from the flawed beliefs taken on in childhood that unconsciously script our lives even in adulthood.

Our Inner Child carries our wounds, experiences and beliefs as well as our unresolved emotions. Connecting heart-to-heart with our Inner Child helps to ease, open and release the grip of the wounds we carry. Inner Child work works directly with the consciousness of the Inner Child connected to an issue.

We all have many Inner Children. Each Inner Child is a discernable energy that we hold in our energy field. Each has its own voice, personality, needs, beliefs and emotions. Each Inner Child has its own, unique signature vibration by which it can be known, heard, understood, accepted, loved and healed. Each child has served, wants to serve and continues to serve us in important ways.

16.) What are Energetic Dialogue, Goodness Process and Conference Table?
Like Inner Child work, these healing techniques go to the core of our issues. They offer deep, transformational healing. They engage the client’s conscious awareness to heal and release his/her issues.

17.) How is Energy Healing with Pippa different from other Energy Healing modalities?
Pippa participated in an intensive 4 year Energy Healing program before setting up a practice. This training taught her how to work with and trust, as the final authority, her own inner wisdom and Higher Self. It taught her to reach beyond the limitations of convention and form. Following her Energy Healing training, Pippa continued to broaden and deepen her connection to her Higher Self as well as her skills as a clairvoyant.

As a healer, Pippa’s path is led by her own Higher Self. The healing energies that she brings in are the result of her connection to her own truth as well as to higher levels of consciousness. As an individual, Pippa’s intention is to have greater and deeper conscious awareness in her own life. As a healer, Pippa’s intention is to support her clients in finding their own truth and freedom.

18.) What is distance healing? Is it as effective as face-to-face Energy Healing?
Short answer: Distance healing is Energy Healing that is done with the healer and the client in different geographical locations.

Long answer: Energy Healing that is done with the healer and the client in different locations is called distance healing. It makes no difference whether the healer and the client are in different rooms within the same house or across the country. Depending on the nature of the issue to be addressed, Pippa may conduct the entire healing over the phone or she may choose at some point in the healing to work without the presence of the phone in order to go deeper. The client either rests comfortably on a bed or in a chair throughout the healing, staying focused and undisturbed by pets, people etc.

Distance Healing is not less effective or profound than face-to-face healing. Energy is not confined to time or space and is, therefore, neither less potent nor less responsive nor less accessible because of distance. As a healer, whether Pippa connects clairvoyantly with her client in the same room or from 3,000 miles away, the depth and insight of her connection and of the transmission of her healing energies is not lessened. In Pippa’s experience, distance work can sometimes even offer a more profound and powerful healing. In these cases, Pippa is able to focus her healing intentions at a very deep, still and specific place in her client’s unconscious, reaching far below the personality and the surface issues. That said, the personal connection offered in a face-to-face healing session is a powerful aspect of healing that is not available in distance healing.

19.) Does Pippa do ‘hands on’ Energy Healing as well as healings in which she and her client sit face-to-face?
Short answer: Yes. If a client is not comfortable with touch, Pippa can work as effectively with her hands off the body.

Long Answer: ‘Hands on’ energy healing is an important part of Pippa’s Energy Healing practice. During a ‘hands on’ session, the client lies fully clothed on the massage table. Pippa places her hands on different areas of the body in order to work the energy. Pippa also works with her hands off the body. Sometimes Pippa uses the healing energy of sound.

Pippa does ‘hands on’ Energy Healing to open, balance and align her client’s energy field and chakras; to energetically cleanse the spine; to bring healing energy to the various systems and organs of the physical body; to address particular energy blockages and imbalances; to bring deep restoration and support to a client who is emotionally or physically exhausted or ill. ‘Hands on’ work is useful for those who are dominated by their mind or mental field as it gives then the opportunity to let go of the mind and be in the physical body.

When using healing techniques that involve dialogue or that require the conscious awareness of her client, Pippa and her client generally sit across from one another in chairs. Even though the client is not on the massage table and Pippa is not putting her hands on the client’s body, Pippa addresses and works with the imbalances and energy blockages that reveal themselves in the client’s chakras, organs and systems of the physical and energy body.

20. ) How will I feel after an Energy Healing session with Pippa?
Most clients leave a session with Pippa feeling restored, relaxed and with a greater sense of inner and outer peace. They leave with a deeper understanding of their issues and themselves and with specific ideas about what they can do to continue to support their own journey.

21.) Will less happen in an energy healing session if I don’t feel energy?
It is perfectly fine not to feel energy during an Energy Healing session. The healing will not be any less effective. Whether you are aware of the energy or not, energy is always present, always moving, opening, clearing, renewing. Throughout an Energy Healing session, Pippa is constantly mindful of and working with various levels of energy.

If at any time during a session a client needs to pause, slow down or stop, that request will immediately be respected. Safety and trust are essential to any healing work. Pippa makes sure that her clients feel safe at all times.

22) Would I ever be overwhelmed by energy during a healing session with Pippa?
Pippa is skilled at setting energetic boundaries and at modulating incoming healing energies both for herself and for her clients. In addition, at the beginning of every healing, Pippa sets the intention that the healing will only serve the highest interests of her client, that the healing will be guided and directed by the client’s Higher Self/Soul, that the healing will unfold in a kind and gentle manner and that the healing will blend with, not conflict with, the life-needs of the client.

If at any time during a session a client feels the need to pause, slow down or stop, that request will immediately be respected. Safety and trust are essential to any healing work. Pippa makes sure that her clients feel safe at all times.

23) Can everyone benefit from having Energy Healing?
Everyone who is alive has an energy system and therefore will benefit from Energy Healing. Our sense of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being relates directly to the state of our energy system. Our energy system is very sensitive. It is easily disrupted and put out of balance by societal and environmental influences. These disturbances eventually manifest as physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual disharmonies. Gently clearing, soothing, aligning, balancing, opening and grounding the energy field is of benefit to every person, from the most vulnerable and fragile amongst us to the hardiest.

24.) How long will the effects of a healing session last?
This varies and depends on how well the client is able to hold new energy alignments. The more conscious awareness a client has of his/her issues and the more connection the client has to his/her Higher Self, the more deeply the energies of the healing will set and the longer they will last.

25.) Should I continue to see my doctor if I am having energy work with Pippa?
Energy Healing with Pippa supports and complements traditional counselling and medicine but it is not a replacement. If you have a medical or emotional condition you should continue to seek the advice of your doctor.

26.) Is Energy Healing or Pippa connected to any religious group?

Neither Pippa nor the Energy Healing that she practices is connected to any religion or religious group.
