CYA President Guy Stedman and Scout yell out for the BCSPCA to be accountable.

Based
in Vancouver, British Columbia, CYA is a group of current and former SPCA
volunteers and other animal lovers who are tired of and frustrated by
"cover your ass" excuses. Consequently, we have joined together
to lobby for and promote discussion about an independent ombudsman office
to oversee the largest and wealthiest animal welfare organization in the
province. CYA is founded in memory of and tribute to Ace, Annie, Mac,
Mocha, Monee and Shasta, six friendly, healthy dogs who were put down
by the BCSPCA in January 2002.

The Mission CYA aims to promote and protect animal welfare and the donations to it through the active call for an independent ombudsman to oversee and ensure that the BCSPCA is accountable, transparent and fair in the course of its governance and operations.
