Shorty Corleone has been widely recognized for his flare for creative
production, distinctive singing voice, and wide range of explosive performances
and recordings. He delivers a novel blend of Hip-Hop, Go-Go and R&B
music that is seldom heard from a single artist. With his captivating
style and spell-binding creativity, he is one of the most sought
after entertainers in the Washington Metropolitan area. He is currently
the lead singer of the city's number one band, Rare Essence and
he is taking the City by storm!
Influenced by a religious upbringing, the soulful sounds of Motown,
and the ever unique sensations of Go-Go music, Corleone is determined
to represent Chocolate City's music and artists. He was voice-trained
at the age of 16 by the renowned William Beale and has been compared
to the likes of musical greats such as Maurice White, Teddy Pendergrass
and Johnny Gill. Shorty also writes and produces many of Rare Essence's
hits and has rendered his talents to the Temptations, Pep Boys,
Lorenzo Queen, and Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire.

levels. He has written and co-written over 300 songs. One of his accomplishments
was the release of the single, Body Snatchers. The single, Body Snatchers was
co-written by Shorty Corleone and reached 50 on Billboard Magazine's Top 100
Chart!
With his intense desire to "rise to the top", Shorty Corleone along
with associates established a record label, Innovative Recordings. Innovative
Recordings released his debut single; Somebody's Been Sleepin' With You! In
addition, they released his solo album, Heat that features the hot rendition
of Frankie Beverly's "While I'm Alone". Shorty
Corleone has
been performing nightly in the city's hottest nightclubs and selling
