Johnny Herbert and AMR(Active Mountain Raceway) are pleased to announce a new partnership for the 24 Hours of Lemans. Johnny will be wearing the logo and colours of AMR on his drivers helmet for this years race.

AMR is a brand new racing facility under construction in British Columbia Canada. Racing operations are set to commence in 2005 with the desire of attracting an ALMS race and either the IRL or CART to this picturesque setting outside of Merritt British Columbia. Along with staging global racing events AMR will have a drivers school, feeder series races, club events, driver for a day programs, a karting facility and numerous other exciting motor sport activities.

AMR President Claude Lelievre stated, " We are extremely happy to be partnered with Johnny as we feel with his experience and dedication to the sport he can only assist us in being a great ambassador for our exciting new venture. We hope that this is only the first step in a long term relationship where Johnny will be able to add some excitement by being involved more deeply with the AMR facility ".

Johnny Herbert commented, that he was happy to have AMR on board and hoped to repay the honour a faith placed in me by winning this weekend. I also hope this is the first step in a long term relationship as being involved with a race track is certainly something I have always been interested in doing.

"It is really fantastic to have pole position here at Le Mans it is another knotch in my belt. I am hoping for a double victory after my pole and win in Monza, I am looking forward to setting a precedent. Winning Le Mans means a lot to me as to any racing driver it is a target and a coveted dream for many of us out there, at least I can say I have won le Mans once in 1991, now I really want to do it again. I am honoured to be wearing the AMR Active Mountain Raceway) colours at this prestigious event and I hope to repay the honour and faith placed in me by winning this weekend."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 24, 2004

"Construction is now underway. We have completed all required stages in order to proceed with the commencement of on site work. The initial excavation for the entrance road has begun, and a track outline is anticipated for late June. This will permit final engineering review to ensure the optimum track foundation and placement."
